LEVEL 1 GYROTONIC TEACHER TRAINING and CERTIFICATION PROCESS
1. Start by taking classes to gain experience in the method and to prepare yourself for the training process.
2. Take the Pre-Training course (6 days, approx. 28 hours) to learn the material and improve your technique. It is also compulsory to complete two 90-minute classes of GYROKINESIS. The Pre-Training course prepares -and qualifies- you for the next step in the training process.
3. Within three months of having completed the Pre-Training course, you must take the Foundation Training course (12 days, approx 72 hours). The course consists of learning the teaching techniques and principals underlying the Exercise Syllabus Level 1, and also preparing lessons.
Upon successful completion the student will be considered a GYROTONIC Apprentice and will receive a Certificate of Apprenticeship. The Apprentice receives permission to work with clients and document these hours on the Apprentice Log Sheet provided after successful completion of the Foundation Course.
4. The next step is a 6-12 month Apprenticeship period, which helps the apprentice review and practice the Foundation Course material and prepare for the Final Certification. The apprentice must complete 60 Teaching Client hours and 30 Supervised Apprentice hours. The apprentice should continue to regularly practice GYROTONIC and must be able to physically execute and demonstrate the exercises of the Foundation Course Syllabus.
5. The Final Certification is a three-day exam and workshop, after which the apprentice will attain the status of a Certified GYROTONIC Trainer Level 1.
LICENSING, TRADEMARKS and LEGAL DETAILS, and TRAINING UPDATES
GYROTONIC instruction can only be offered by those Licensed to do so in the particular aspect of the system.
1. Trademark License Renewal: All Students enrolling in Foundation Teacher Training Courses sign a Trademark License Agreement dated with the first day of the Course. This enables the Apprentice to teach GYROTONIC Methodology to clients, as well as use the GYROTONIC Trademarks for promotional purposes, as outlined in the License.
The Trainer must also mail samples of all promotional materials (business cards, brochures, flyers, websites, etc) currently being used. GYROTONIC Headquarters will review these materials for proper trademark usage.
2. For all GYROTONIC Educational Courses, the student must sign the required, specific legal documents on the first day of the course being offered. If these required documents are not signed, the candidate will be denied entry into the course.
*The student is required to sign a Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to beginning the Pre-Training course. The student cannot participate in the Course if this legal document is not signed.

WHAT IS GYROTONIC®?
GYROTONIC® is a unique low-impact exercise method incorporating the key principles of yoga, tai-chi, ballet and swimming.
It simultaneously stretches and strengthens the body with minimal effort while releasing tension, developing strength and increasing range of motion.
Assisted by the GYROTONIC® Pulley Tower, exercises are performed in circular, spiraling and undulating movements.
Fluidity is the key; corresponding breathing patterns supply rhythm and enhances cardiovascular and neuromuscular stimulation.
